Welcome To My ePortfolio

Welcome to my CIT 602 ePortfolio, a collection of work created throughout the semester that highlights how I integrate technology into my teaching practice as a high school ceramics and visual arts educator. This site showcases the artifacts, reflections, and resources that represent my growth in understanding computer science education, computational thinking, and inclusive technology integration.

As a teacher in a Title I, minority-majority school, I am constantly exploring ways to make learning more accessible, culturally responsive, and engaging for all students. My goal with this portfolio is to demonstrate not just what I created, but how these tools support real classroom needs; especially for students who benefit from visual scaffolding, language supports, and hands-on creativity.

Thank you for visiting and taking part in this journey through technology-supported art education.

About Me

I'm Heather

I am a high school Art and Ceramics teacher currently serving in a Title I school in Las Vegas, where I have the privilege of working with a diverse and talented community of students.

My classroom is a space where creativity, culture, and critical thinking intersect, and I strive to give students opportunities to express their identities through hands-on artwork. Along with teaching foundational and advanced ceramic techniques, I incorporate digital tools, including design software, multimedia platforms, and learning management systems, to help students document their process and expand their artistic voices.

I am passionate about inclusive teaching, building strong student relationships, and creating meaningful learning experiences that honor the lived experiences of my students.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy exploring museums, experimenting with new art media, and learning new tools that help strengthen both my teaching practice and my students' creative possibilities.
